2 Years To 3 Years
By the time children reach Squirrels their social skills are developing along with their language skills which they use to communicate both their wants and needs as well as to interact with others.
We encourage children to learn new words, to use their bodies in new ways and to improve coordination.
We work with parents to teach personal, social and emotional skills through play with other children and adults. Children at this age and stage of development are becoming more independent. We support these developing skills by building on their self esteem, valuing their opinions, including them in decision making and teaching them to take care of themselves e.g. washing their own hands, serving themselves at mealtimes.
We also support the parents with beginning the potty training process within this age group.
